The Onvoy Network

Maintains a physically redundant OC-48 fiber ring routing from Grand Forks and Fargo through Minneapolis.

Dakota Carrier Network (DCN) Provides fiber running west from Grand Forks through Bismarck and back to Fargo, providing alternate routes and ensuring fully-redundant, non-interrupted service.
Qwest Communications Provides DS3 alternate self-healing routes of fully redundant protection for local loop service and central office connectivity. 
Midcontinent Communications Digital cable, citywide build-out and two-way broadband services.
Grand Forks Wireless Currently provides home and small business with high-speed, fixed/wireless hybrid data services.

Electricity and Natural Gas

The Energy Information Administration 2010 report shows the average retail and commercial prices for electricity in North Dakota are some of the lowest in the nation.

Xcel Energy

Electricity and natural gas energy company offering energy related products and services to 3.4 million electricity customers and 1.9 million natural gas customers.

Nodak Electric Cooperative Public utility cooperative based in Grand Forks serving as the electric distribution utility in a portion of northeast North Dakota. Nodak provides power to over 13,000 customers.
Minnkota Power Cooperative Regional generation and transmission cooperative that provides electricity to cooperatives located in eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota.

Specific rates based on a company's actual usage are quoted directly to the customer. Similarly, electric rates are determined on usage and customer-by-customer basis.

Water, Wastewater and Garbage

City of Grand Forks

Provides water, sewer and waste removal. Rates are established by usage.
