The University of North Dakota in Grand Forks is home to North Dakota’s only medical school and one of the largest graduate schools between the Mississippi River and Seattle. It has been designated a Carnegie Doctoral Research Institution. The only Biosafety Level 3 laboratory space in the Upper Midwest is located in Grand Forks at UND’s Technology Accelerator, the Reserach Enterprise and Commercialization building.
